Incontrasttothemanufacturer'scloudmanagement,thisappislocalwithinstantaccessandresponse.Beinglocalthere'snosecurityrisktoyournetwork(externallyconnecteddevicescanserveasbridgestobreakintoyourhomenetwork)soyoucandisablethethermostatfromaccessingtheinternet.Theappallowsyoutoaccessyourthermostat(locally)evenwhenthatcloudserviceoryourinternetconnectionisdown.Nomoreshivering/sweating,waitingandwondering-youcanmakeandseethechangeinstantly.Keepanandroidphoneortabletbyyourbedasanalarmclockandhandythermostat.

Usethethermostatwidgetsoyoucanseewhat'sgoingonataglance.

IfyouneedtochangetemperaturesettingswhileawayfromhomeyoucancontinuetousetheRadioThermostatcloudserviceorforsecureaccessrunyourowncloudserviceusingAutomationManager.

Foradvancedautomationyou'llwanttouseAutomationManager(seethedeveloperssitefordetails).Usingityoucandefineenhancedschedules,controltemperatureusinglocationdetection,andothersimilarautomationincludingvoicecontrolwithGoogleHomeorAmazonAlexa.TouseAutomationManageryou'llwanttobothitandthisappinserver/hubmodetogetheronadedicatedandroiddevice.

Thisreallyisafreeapp,notadsupported!Ifyouwouldliketosupportthedevelopmentofthisapplicationandotherslikeit,considerpurchasingandusingAutomationManager.

NOTE:TheCT-30APIisabuiltinwebserverthattendstobealittleunstableandoccasionallydropsrequestsfromtheapp.Whenthishappens(orwhenyourphoneisnotabletoconnecttothethermostat)thewidgetandtheappwillshow?'sinsteadofthetemperature.Itwillattempttoreconnecteveryfewminutes(lessoftenifnotonwifi).

ThisappusestheinternalURL(IP)andthemanufacturer'sunprotectedlocalAPItocontrolthethermostat.Itisforusewithinyourhomeonly.DonotexposeyourthermostatURLoutsideofyourhomenetwork!Thethermostatdoesnotprovidesecuritytoprotectit'sURLordata,andthisappcannotaddsecurityonit'sown.
