ThisOombi(omi)gamewascreatedtogivegenuineexperiencefortheplayerashe/sheplaysthegameasanindividualfromagroupoffourplayers.Everyoneoftheguidelines,scoringstrategies,thequantityofplayers-asintheactualgamehavebeenincludedinthisapplication.Thisapplicationisasolitaryplayergame.Thepartoftheotherthreeplayersisplayedbythesystemitself.Towardtheend,thegroupwhogot10tokenswillbethewinninggroupoftheOombigame.Ateachround,managingchangeandtrumpsuitpickingchanceturnamongeveryplayer.Thesystemplayerswillplaytheidealcardbyconsideringthecardsthatotherplayershaveplayed.Likearealgame,tokenswillbeallottedtothewinningside.
Playersandcard
Therearefourplayersinfixedpartnerships,partnerssittingopposite.Dealandplayarecounter-clockwise.Astandardinternational52-cardpackisused,butonly32ofthecardsareusedforplay.ThesecardsrankfromhightolowA-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7ineachsuit.Othercardsareusedastokens.Tokensareawardedtothewinningside.
Dealandmakingtrumps
Playertoyourleftwilldealfirst,andtheturntodealpassestotherightaftereachhand.Thedealershufflesthe32-cardpackanddealsabatchoffourcardstoeachplayer.
Theplayertodealer’srightlooksatthefourcardsandmustdecideandannouncewhichsuitwillbetrumped.Thedealerthendealsasecondbatchoffourcardstoeachplayer,sothateveryonegetseight.
Instructionsonplaying
Theplayertodealer'sright,whoannouncedthetrumpsuit,leadsanycardtothefirsttrick.Theotherplayersplayinturn,anticlockwisearoundthetable,andmustfollowsuitifableto;aplayerwhoholdsnocardofthesuitledmayplayanycard.
Ifnotrumpsareplayed,thetrickiswonbythehighestcardofthesuitthatwasled.Ifanytrumpswereplayedthehighesttrumpwinsthetrick.Thewinnerofthetrickgathersthefourcards,stacksthemfacedownintheteam'strickpile,andleadsanycardtothenexttrick.
Scoring
Aftertheeighthtrick,thetrickswonbyeachteamarecounted.
Iftheteamthatchosethetrumpsuithave5,6or7tricks,theywinonetoken.
Iftheteamthatdidnotchoosethetrumpsuithave5,6or7tricks,theywintwotokens.
Ifeitherteamwinsall8tricks,theywinthreetokens.Thisisknownas“Kapothi”.
Iftheteamstake4trickseach,notokencardsaretransferred,butanextratokencardiswonthenexttimeateamtakesmorethan4tricks.
