Rummyisplayedwithasetof106tiles.104ofthemaremadefromcolorfulnumbersfrom1to13,in4colors:red,green,blueandblack;2ofthepiecesareJoly/Joker,unnumbered.
Ateachturnyoudrawonetileanddiscardone.

Theobjectofthegameistocollecttilesthatformvalidsetsandruns,whichcanthenbemelded(placedfaceuponthetableinfrontofyou).Untilyouhavesucceededinmeldingsometiles,youmustbegineachturnbytakingthenextavailabletilefromthewallorthelasttilediscarded.Thenifyouhavecombinationsofsufficientvalue(45points),youmaymeldsometilesfromyourrack.Toendyourturnyoumustdiscardonetilefromyourhandfaceup.Thediscardedtilesareplacednearthetopofthetableinarow,intheordertheywerediscarded.

Foryourfirstmeld,youmustputdowncombinationsfromyourrackwiththefollowingconstraints:
-thetilesyoumeldmustincludeatleastonerun;
-thetotalvalueofthemeldedtilesmustbeatleast45points.

Forthispurposethetileshavepointvaluesasfollows:
-2to9:5pointseach
-10to13:10pointseach
-1inarunof1-2-3-...:5points
-1inarunof...-12-13-1:10points
-1'sinaset:25pointseach
AJolyhasthevalueofthetileitrepresents.

Inordertobeallowedtomeldanytilesatall,youmustfirstmeldfromyourhandsetsandrunstoatotalvalueofatleast45points.Afteryouhavedonethat,theninthisandsubsequentturns,afterdrawingandbeforediscarding,youmaymeldfurthersetsandruns,andaddtilestosetsandrunsthatareyoursorotherplayershavepreviouslymelded.

Closureisachievedwhentheplayerhasall14tilesinvalidrunsandgroups,the15'thstonesremainsfreeandselecttheoption"Meld"-thegreenbuttoninthebottomrightcornerofhisgamearea.Byaccessingthissettingitsformationswillbedisplayedonthetable(tobeseenbycompetitors),thegameendsandthepointsgainedareassigned.
