Bluetoothissimplesttoset-upbuthasrangelimitations. WiFihasmuchbetterrangeandallowsmultipleusersaccess.

RolandofferaniPadApptocontrolthemixer,butthisusestheUSBportpreventingUSBrecording,italsois1:1onlyallowingoneusertoalterthemixersettings. ThisapprunsonAndroid(phonesortablets),allowsmultipleuserstocontrolfeeds(e.g.Musician'scontrollingtheirownmonitormixes),andhasaconsiderablysimpleruserinterface.

VMXSerialRemoteisnotendorsedbyRoland,andisnotanofficialRolandproduct. ItwaswrittenbyaSoundTechnicianlookingtosolveaproblem,andisprovidedfreeofcharge. ByuseofaPCandtheVMXProxyscript(freeware-availableatthelistedwebsite)youcansimulateamixersothatyoucanevaluatetheapplication,beforeyouinvestinanyconnectionhardware.
