Glacier Photo Collection

TheGlacierPhotographCollection(GPC)isanonline,searchablecollectionofphotographsofglaciers,mostlytakenintheRockyMountains,thePacificNorthwest,Alaska,andGreenland.Photographsweretakenfromspace,theair,andtheground.Thedatesofthephotographsrangefromthemid1800stothepresentday.AsofMay2013,morethan14,000glacierphotographsareonline.Thesephotographshavebothhistoricandscientificinterest,especiallyinthestudyofhowglaciersarerespondingtoclimatechange.TheGPCappallowsyoutosearchthephotocollectionfromyourphone,selectaphotograph,viewamediumresolutionversionofthephotograph,andviewphotographmetadata.Foracompletedescriptionofthiscollection,seetheGlacierPhotographCollectiondocumentation(http://nsidc.org/data/docs/noaa/g00472_glacier_photos/index.html).
