Thischromatictunerappworkswellforawiderangeofinstruments:Ukulele,violin,mandolin,flute,guitars,voice,andmore.Evenverylowbassstringscanbetuned.Simplecontrolsandclearvisualsmakeitgreatforbeginners.Responsiveandprecisealgorithmsprovideprofessionallevelaccuracyformoreadvancedplayers.

Handsfreetuningmeansyoucantuneallofyourstringswithouteverhavingtotouchthescreen-youdon'twanttohavetoreachforyourukuleletunerinbetweentuningeachstring,andnowyoudon'thaveto.

Theinstrumenttunershowsyouthetargetnotesfortheinstrumentandtuningthatyouhaveselected-thisisparticularlyusefulforstringedinstruments.ForexampleaguitartunerwouldshowthenotesEADGBEifyouchosestandardguitartuning,orDADGBEifyouchosedropDtuning.OraviolintunerwouldshowGDAE.Youcanthenjustplayeachstringandthetunerwillidentifywhetheryouareintune.PitchedTunerhasbuiltintuningsformanycommoninstrumentsincludingbanjo,bass4,5and6string,cello,doublebass,guitarincluding7string,ukulele,violaandviolin.Ifyourinstrumentoryourpreferredtuningaren'tincludedthenyoucaneasilycreateyourownintheapp.Pleaseemailusifyouwantyourtuningaddedtothebuiltinones.

Thechromatictunerdisplaysthenotethatisclosesttowhatiscurrentlybeingplayed.IfyouplayanA,itshowsanA.Thisisusefulforinstrumentswithlotsofnotes(pianotuningforexample).Somestringedplayersmightalsopreferthismode-particularlyifyouplayinstrumentswithseveralcommontuningssuchastheguitar(it'spersonalpreference!).ItmeansyoucanquicklytuneyourguitarfromstandardtodropDwithouthavingtotouchtheapp(assumingit'salreadyvisibleonyourscreen).

PitchedTunerdisplaysatraditionaltunerneedleanddial.Itclearlyshowsthefrequencybeingplayedaswellasthenearestnoteanderrorincents(onecentisonehundredthofasemitone).Thedialthenallowsyoutoeasilytracksmallchangesinpitch.Aseparatevolumeindicatortellsyouhowclearlythemicrophoneispickingupyourinstrumentsound.
