DSBarometerisahandsomelycraftedbarometerandairpressurerecorderforAndroiddeviceswithorwithoutabarometricpressuresensor.

Rapidchangesinthebarometricpressureusuallyprecedesignificantchangesintheweather.Usethebarometricpressuretrendsmeasuredbythisappwithotheratmosphericdata(suchascloudpatternsandtemperaturechanges)topredictimprovingorworseningweatherconditions.

Barometricpressuremonitoringcanalsobehelpfulforpeoplewithbarometricmigraineheadacheandotherbarometric-pressurerelatedmedicalconditions,suchasarthritis,thatmaybeaggravatedbychangesinbarometricpressure.

Theappincludesabackgroundpressuremonitoringfeaturethatwasdesignedspecificallyforamobilebarometerunit.Ourpressuremonitorisabletohandlechangesinlocationandaltitudeasyoumoveaboutbecauseallrecordedpressuresarereducedtosealevel-thatmeansthatpressuretrendsandgraphscanbeinterpretedwithoutanyconcernthattheywereaffectedbyachangeinyourelevationduringtherecordinginterval.

Fordevicesequippedwithabarometersensor,thisapplicationusestheatmosphericpressuremeasuredbyyourphonetocalculatethesealeveladjustedbarometricpressureatyourlocation.Temperatureandaltitude,alsousedinthecalculation,areobtainedbymatchingyourpositionagainstweatherandaltitudesurveydatabases.ThesevaluesaremorereliablethanthevaluesreturnedfromyourGPSchipandyourphone'stemperaturesensorandmayresultinamoremeaningfulbarometricpressurereading.
