GDPR in your pocket

“GDPRinyourpocket”isafreemobileapplicationdevelopedwithintheframeworkoftheSMEDATAProject(https://smedata.eu/)co-fundedbythe“Rights,EqualityandCitizenshipProgramme”oftheEuropeanUnion.ItspurposeistointroducetheGeneralDataProtectionRegulation(GDPR)tocitizensandsmallandmediumenterprises(SMEs)inaneasy-to-useandeasy-to-understandway,andtogivethempracticalknowledgeandadviceontheirrights,respectivelyobligationsundertheEUdataprotectionlaw.TheuserinterfaceandlargepartsofthecontentareavailableinEnglish,ItalianandBulgarian.

Theapplicationprovidesaccesstoavarietyoflegalinformationresourcesandguidancematerialsinthefieldofprivacyandpersonaldataprotectionorganisedintwomaincomponents–LegallibraryandAdvisorymodule.

•Decisionsupporttools–helprepresentativesofSMEstofindevidence-basedsolutionsofkeyissuesrelatedtodataprotection.Theyofferasimplified‘Q&A’wizardinterfacetosolvepracticalproblems(e.g.“DoesmyorganisationneedaDPO?”,“Shallmyorganizationmaintainarecordofprocessingactivities?”,etc.)basedonastep-by-stepinteractionwiththeuser;
•Frequentlyaskedquestions–givesanswerstotypicalquestionsofcitizensandSMEsbasedontheexperiencegainedinthequestionsandanswersproceduressetupbytheBulgarianandItaliandataprotectionauthorities;
•GDPRdictionary–aglossaryoflegaltermsanddefinitionsintroducedbyGDPR.
