Theboardispopulatedbyvirusesofthreecolors:red,yellow,andblue,theplayermanipulateseachcapsuleasitfalls,movingitleftorrightandrotatingitsuchthatitispositionedalongsidethevirusesandanyexistingcapsules.Whenfourormorecapsulehalvesorvirusesofmatchingcolorarealignedinverticalorhorizontalconfigurations,theyareremovedfromplay.Themainobjectiveistocompletelevels,whichisaccomplishedbyeliminatingallvirusesfromtheplayingfield.Agameoveroccursifcapsulesfilluptheplayingfieldinawaythatobstructsthebottle'snarrowneck.
Playerscanselectthedegreeofstartingdifficultyanytimeanewgameisstarted.Theinitiallevelchosenisavaluebetweenzeroandtwentythatdeterminesthenumberofvirusestoclear,andthethreegamespeedoptionschangehowfastthecapsulesfallinthebottle.Theplayer'sscoreisbasedsolelyontheeliminationofviruses,notonthetimetakentocompletethelevelorthenumberofcapsulesused.Ifplayerscompletethehighestdifficultylevel,theycancontinueplayingtoaccumulateahigherscore,butthenumberofvirusestoclearremainsthesame.Additionalpointsareawardedwhenmultiplevirusesareeliminatedatonce,butnoadditionalpointsareawardedforinitiatingchainreactions,inwhichtheeliminationofonesetofobjectstriggerstheeliminationofanotherset.Thegamespeedisalsoafactorinhowthegamecalculatesscoring;higherspeedlevelsyieldmorepoints.
