OhHell!istheworld'smostpopulartrick-takingcardgameinwhichtheobjectistotakeexactlythenumberoftricksbid.AlsoknowsasContractWhist,OhWell!,GermanBridge,BlackoutorUpandDowntheRiver.

Theaimofthegameistoscorepointsbywinningtricks(eachtrickscoresonepoint)andbycorrectlypredictinghowmanytricksyouwillwineachround(thisscores10pointsperround).Thewinnerofthegameistheplayerwiththemostpointsafterafixednumberofrounds.

Therulesofplayarethoseofstandardtrick-takinggames.Acardisbeatenbyahighercardofthesamesuitoranytrumpcard.Whenacardisplayed,theotherplayersmustfollowsuit(playacardofthesamesuit)ifpossible.Iftheydonotholdanycardsoftheleadingsuit,theymaychoosetotrumpbyplayinganytrumpcardtowin,orthrowawaybyplayinganynon-trumpcardtolose.
