Asingletaponthemapgivesyouaccesstoworldcoordinates.Inaddition,MapCoordinatesoffersafullsetoftoolslikedistancemeasurement,currentGPSlocation,history/favoritelocations,sharelocation,findlocationorcopycoordinates/address.Youcanswitchbetweenmultiplecoordinatetypeslikedecimaldegrees,DMS(degrees,minutesandseconds)orevenspecialtypeslikewhat3words,MGRS,UTMorGEOREF.

TheappisdesignedtoeasilydeterminethecoordinatesandaddressofapointonthemapandsharethemwithfriendsviaSMS,emailorsocialapps.

Whenyouneedtofindalocation,youcaneithertype/pastetheaddress/coordinatesinasearchfieldorentereachcoordinatevalueonebyoneinit’sownfieldusingtheadvancedsearchoptions.what3words,MGRS,UTMorGEOREFcanbesearchedforonlybyusingthesinglesearchfield.

ThecurrentGPSlocationisbestreceivedwhilethemobiledeviceislocatedoutdoors.TheGPSsatellitesareeasytobefoundwhenthereisnointerferencelikebuildingsorclouds.Evenifthedeviceislocatedindoor,thelocationcanbeaccuratelyfoundthroughWiFinetworkbutonlyifthedeviceisconnectedtothatnetwork.

ThesidedrawermenuisusedtonavigatebetweendifferentpartsoftheapplikeHistory/Favoritesbutitisalsousedtoswitchthemapprovider.TheavailablemapprovidersareGoogleMapsandOpenStreetMaps,eachofthemhavingdifferentmaptypes.UnderOpenStreetMapsthereisalsoacompassavailableallthetime.

Settingscanalsobeaccessedfromthesidenavigationdrawer.Thereyouhavetheoptionstoswitchbetweenexistingcoordinatestypes,changethevisibilityoftheaddressbaroryoucanenabletheDistancemeasuretoolandtheElevationtool.Elevationdisplaysthealtitudeoftheselectedlocationonthemap.
