Innormalconditionaheartrateisbetween60to100beatsperminute.Below60heartrateissaidtobebradycardicandaratefasterthan100beatsperminuteissaidtobetachycardic.Manyathletescanhaveanormalrestingheartrateoflessthan60beatsaminute.
Theheart'selectricalaxisisthegeneraldirectionoftheventriculardepolarizationwavefront(ormeanelectricalvector)inthesagittalplane(theplaneofthelimbleadsandaugmentedlimbleads).
AnECGtracingisaffectedbypatientmotion.Somerhythmicmotions(suchasshiveringortremors)cancreatetheillusionofcardiacdysrhythmia.
