ChangingDNSserverscanbeusefulforcertainInternetconnectionproblems.Itmighthelpkeepyourwebsurfingmoresecureandprivate,andcouldevenallowyoutoaccesswebsitesblockedbyyourISP.Also,itmayspeedupyourinternetconnection;someusershaveseenimproveinonlinegaming(lowerping)whenchangingDNSservers.
Fortunately,therearemanypublicDNSserversthatyoucanuseinsteadofthedefaultones.ThisappwillallowyoutochoosefromalistoffreeandreliablepublicDNSservers(primaryandsecondaryDNSservers)likeGooglePublicDNS,OpenDNS,etc.
