SCSoffersyouaDropfoldertomovefileseasilyfromyourdesktopcomputertoyourphone,makingMTPobsolete.

Therehasbeenalotofconfusionaboutwhatactuallyhappenstofilesandalotofpeoplefeartolosetheirfiles.Ifyoudotoo,pleasereadonandletmeexplain,whatSCSdoeswithyourfiles:
1)SCSuploadsallthefilesitisallowed(thoseinthewatchedfolders,whichyoucontrol)toaGoogleserver(GoogleDrive).
Whenyoucreateanewfile,itisalsouploaded.Whenyoudeleteafileonyourphone,itisdeletedonGoogleDrivetoo.Thiscreatesalivebackupofallyourfiles,whichcancomeinhandyanyway.
2)Now,whenyourunoutofstorage(meaningyougobelowthe"KeepFreeMinimum"definedinthe"StorageOverview"oftheapp'ssettings),SCSshowsyouanotification,aso-called"SpaceAlert".
Ifyouclickonthisnotification,SCSwillgiveyoualistoffilesitthinkswouldbegoodtooutsource(filesyoudidnotuseinalongtime,forexample).OnlyfilesthatareonlineonGoogleDrivearedisplayedhere.Sofilesdisplayedtoyouexistbothofflineandonline.
If(andonlyIF!)youclickonoutsource,thecontentsofthesefileswillbeoverwrittenwith0bytes.Thismakesroomfornewfilesonyourphone,whilestillholdingontotheversionofthefilethatisonlineonGoogleDrive.
3)Assoonasyouoranyapplicationtrytoopenanoutsourcedfile,thisfileisre-downloadedtoyourphone.
DoesSCSdeletefilesonmyphone?
No,SCSdoesnotdeleteanyfilesonyourphoneEVER.Itmerelyoverwriteslocalfileswith0bytes,ifandonlyifthisfileisbackedup.
DoesSCSdeletefilesonline?
SCSonlydeletesfilesinthecloud,ifyoudeleteafilelocallyorifyouunwatchafolder/filetype.Beforeitdeletesthefile,SCSchecksifthisfileisactuallyanoutsourcedfile(afilethatisnotonyourphoneanymore).Ifyes,thefileisfirstdownloadedandonlythendeletedonline(soitstillexistsonyourphone).
Afileisonlydeletedfromthecloud(GoogleDrive)ifitexistslocally(onyourphone).Afileisonlydeletedlocally(fromyourphone)ifitexistsinthecloud(GoogleDrive).
