AvantiarepleasedtointroduceourlatestproducttoassistwithKa-bandsatellitefieldinstallations–theAvantiMobileAssistAndroidapp.ThisappallowsallstagesofastandardHughesinstallationtobecarriedoutusingonlyanAndroidsmartphonewiththehelpofbuilt-insensors.Thiseliminatestherequirementfor:

•Horizonsatellitemeter
•Laptop
•ExternalGPSunit
•Compass/Inclinometer
•Camera(forreporting)

TheAvantiMobileAssistappallowsyoutoperform:

•Installjobmanagement–download(WiFi/3G),scan(QRcode)orreceive(SMS)installjobsdirectlytophonewithnecessaryequipment,beamconfiguration,locationandcontactdetails.
•Satellitemodemconfiguration–configureHughesterminalsviaWiFiconnectivitybyconnectinganoff-the-shelfWiFirouter/accesspointtothesatellitemodem.
•Dishplacement–usingbuiltinGPS,compassandaccelerometer/gyroscopetocalculateanddisplaythelocationofthesatelliteon-screen,usingeitheracompassviewor“AugmentedReality”.
•Dishalignment–carryoutfinealignmentoftheantennaoverWiFi,usingthebuiltinbeepertool,withouttheneedofasatellitemeter.
•ServiceTest–runnetworkIP&DNSconnectivity,latency,downloadanduploadspeedtestsofthecommissionedservice
•Reporting–reportdetailsoftheinstalldirectlyfromthephonebytakingphotosofthesitewiththebuiltincameraandusethebarcodescannertostoreequipmentserialnumbers.AllreportsareuploadedtotheOSSviathecommissionedinternetconnection.

Theonlydeviceaninstallerneedsis1)anoff-the-shelfwirelessaccesspoint/routerand2)anAndroidsmartphone.
