7Timer!wasfirstlyestablishedinJuly2005asanexplorationproductundersupportedoftheNationalAstronomicalObservatoriesofChinaandhadbeenlargelyrenovatedin2008and2011.CurrentlyitissupportedbytheShanghaiAstronomicalObservatoryofChineseAcademyofSciences.Itwasfirstlydesignedasaweatherforecasttoolforastronomicalpurpose,astheauthorhimselfisalong-termstargazerandwasalwaysannoyedbyflukyweatherconditions.
